FOOD AND DIET ADVICE.
Dubia roaches are nutritious. Properly fed dubia roaches have more protein (22% vs 15%) and calcium than most other commonly available feeder insects. Dubia roaches also have about 1/3rd the amount of chitin compared to crickets, making them much more digestible.
Crickets are a high-protein low-carb option that might be from the original Paleo diet. Crickets are 65% protein by weight, and have a natural slightly nutty and earthy taste. In addition to chitosan and protein, crickets naturally contain all the essential amino acids, Omega-3s, Omega-6s, B12 and more.
Mealworms have a low meat-to-shell ratio compared to some other feeders, and that makes them harder to digest. However, healthy reptiles are perfectly capable of digesting them.
Waxworms are a good source of protein and vitamins, which means that they are not just "empty calories" for exotic pets. However they are very high in fat, so they should not be fed regularly.
